Tool Management System

1. Easy operation with image comparison
(Comparison of tool photos with actual tools to reduce the occurrence of taking the wrong tool)
2. Intelligent reminders and easy management
(When a problem occurs, LINE NOTIFY will send an alarm to notify relevant personnel to handle it)
3. Cloud-based back-end for convenient queries
(The back-end can query information such as the recipient and quantity,  facilitating safe inventory management)
Spring-loaded material feeder + 40-boxes , providing ample storage space.
60 spring-loaded conveyors, paired with 40 boxes
1. (tool cabinet + Cutting Inserts cabinet + return cabinet), freely customizable, with connect up to 15 grid cabinets in series.
2. Exclusive blade return cabinet.
Each on-site staff member has an exclusive blade return cabinet to precisely track the correct usage of each blade..
3.Quick and accurate tool selection with QR code scanning.
Avoid selecting the wrong blade and wasting unnecessary selection time, while accurately calculating the blade usage for the processed material.
4. Lift-type pick-up platform.
Prevents tools from falling directly from a high place,
causing tool damage or breakage.
5. Individual magnetic cards that can independently set cabinet permissions.
For example:
Card A can open cabinet A
Card B can open cabinets A and B
Card C can open all cabinets
6. Flexible placement space, with any number of grids combinable.
Customers can choose to combine 2, 3, or 4 grids as needed.
If there are too many individual tools, the merge function can be used.
The total number will be automatically calculated after merging.

Installations

A partial list of the plants running the system. Each configuration was built around what that plant actually needed.

Precision machinery manufacturer

5 lockers

MES-linked. Operators scan the work order and draw exactly what that job calls for.

Industrial parts manufacturer

Lockers

High-value items kept secure, with cabinet access controlled down to the individual.

Metalworking plant

1 dispenser + lockers

Linked to the plant's MES, so every tool issued is written straight into the production system.

Precision hardware manufacturer

4 dispensers + lockers

Took the load off a permanently overstretched tool crib. The shop floor now serves itself.

Ball screw manufacturer

3 lockers

Used for measuring instruments, available to shop-floor staff around the clock.

Transport equipment manufacturer

1 dispenser + lockers

Full control of internal issuing: how much was drawn, and who drew it.

Not only cutting tools - measuring instruments, consumables and any high-value tooling suit the system equally well. Start with a single locker and chain up to 15 as the floor needs them, with integration into your existing MES or ERP.

Frequently asked questions

What customers ask most about the tool management system.

What does the tool management system consist of?

Three cabinet types that combine freely: the CTW-60 tool vending cabinet (spring-channel dispenser, 60 channels × 19 pieces), the BW-40 locker cabinet (40 compartments, 8 kg per compartment, with weighing count) and the CNW-01 control cabinet. Start with a single locker and chain up to 15 locker cabinets (tool, general tool and return lockers in any mix).

How many inserts and tools does one unit hold?

The vending cabinet holds 60 channels × 19 pieces — about 1,140 insert packs. The locker has 40 compartments of 160 × 140 × 330 mm; for bulky items, 2, 3 or 4 compartments can be merged into one and the system totals the count automatically.

How does it prevent operators taking the wrong tool?

Picks are requested by scanning a QR code for the exact item number, and the screen shows the tool photo for comparison before dispensing. A lifting pick-up tray keeps tools from dropping from height. Each operator has a personal return compartment for worn inserts, so every insert is accounted for.

Can it integrate with MES or ERP?

Yes. The system has a cloud back-end and integration interface; customers already link it to their plant MES so operators scan the work order to draw tools and the transaction lands directly in the production system. It also supports safety-stock management.

How are access rights and alerts set up?

Access cards are configured individually (for example card A opens cabinet A only, card C opens all). The back-end records who took what and how many; when stock falls below the safety level or a fault occurs, LINE Notify alerts the responsible staff.

What else can it manage besides cutting tools?

Gauges, consumables and high-value tools. The locker cabinet weighs contents with 10 g resolution, which suits gauge control, spares and unattended 24-hour self-service pick-up. See the case studies on this page.

How much floor space does it need?

CTW-60 tool cabinet 1098 × 924 × 1960 mm (350 kg), BW-40 locker 800 × 360 × 1960 mm (186 kg), CNW-01 control cabinet 550 × 360 × 1960 mm (65 kg) — placed side by side against a wall.
